Aroma Festival

Today we went to the The Rock's Aroma Festival at Circular Quay, Sydney. It was supposed to be a girls day out but one backed out and so we made a family outing, with Jess (our helper for the day lol).

We started our day pretty early, leaving the house at 9am and dropping our car off to Jess' house, since there were track works from where we were and where Jess lives is where it starts. So it was pretty convenient. Then we headed to the city together. Once we got there, it was so packed and made it so much harder for us because we had a pram.

At first, I thought the stall were free, but when we got there, they actually weren't. Which  was a little disappointment, but at least their drinks weren't too over priced, though there food was! We bought Jeremy a burger at the start because he was starving for $15 that came with a coke.. It was so expensive, even though it was yummy.

But anyway, we made our way around the whole place, squeezing ourselves through the crowd of people in the streets. We got separated from Jess in the middle though because she was lining up for some 'spiral spuds' which took her 1.5h to actually order and get it in her hands lol. So we just walked around, took photos, got some Dutch Poffertjes and then made our way to the other side where we then met up with Jess, as well as having a little tucker from the Italian Village.

After that, we continued to make our way around the block to the other side where The Rocks Markets were held. We looked around there as well as the stalls that were part of the Aroma Festival. And then made our way back to the station.

We got through the whole festival plus the markets in about 4 hours, including getting separated with Jess and having to travel and push our way through everyone with our pram. It was such a good day and great weather which made everything else perfect. I loved today! I can't wait for our next family outing.

Here's a whole bunch of photos from the day.

Jeremy's 22nd Birthday

On Thursday, 28th July, it was Jeremy's 22nd birthday. We didn't have anything planned for the day though because we both had work that day and couldn't really do anything anyway.

On Thursday night, his friends took him out for dinner to Hooters, where he apparently got drunk and was forced to dance with hoola-hoops because it was his birthday haha. Then on Friday night, after getting home from work, we went out on a dinner to Meat and Wine Co. in Parramatta. We had such a great meal there, cocktail for me and a beer for Jeremy.
The funniest thing happened in the middle of eating, there was a car chase that was happening right next to the restaurant. The guy driving the car seemed as if he wasn't fussed at all, just cruising along with one cigarette in one hand and there were like 5 police cars just speeding and tailing him lol.

After dinner, we just went straight home because I was so drained and tired. We just watched Teen Wolf until we fell asleep.

Jeremy requested that I have my hair and make up done for that night, like how it was on my 20th birthday celebration night since he wasn't there to see me all dolled up. So it took me an hour more to get my hair done and make up done. I usually only take 30 minutes to get ready. It was such hard work for me, I don't know how people can be so bothered to do their hair and make up everyday.

On Saturday, we had Jeremy's BIL and the kids over (SIL was home sick :( ). I baked a cake for Jeremy, he wanted something 'gooey' and moist, so I made a mousse cake with Oreo icing. BIL cooked some pork belly.

The food was so yum, especially the nice and crispy/crunchy pork belly skin and the moist meat. Everyone loved my chocolate cake. It was better than I expected it to have come out, I thought I was going to stuff up. Though it was a little richer than I thought. Everyone didn't mind and loved it regardless.

Here are photos from the two days, night and day:

Alphabet

Jaiden can now say the alphabet! Not exactly perfectly, but he tries to copy and say the letters himself. Here's a video of him trying to say it now, by copying what the narrator on the iPhone says.
iPhone app name is ABC Free. And yes, it's free! (hence the name).

The end of Harry Potter

Since it was the last ever Harry Potter movie, Jeremy, Manuel and Cheryl (brother & sister in law) decided to watch it at the IMAX theatre. We had planned to watch it last week, but plans came up and had to postpone it.

We left our area around 11am, giving us 1 hour for the drive into the city and as we planned, we arrived there right on the dot of 12pm. We walked around China town looking for places to eat and settled for BBQ King, originally where Manuel wanted to take us to. Admittedly, the place looked very cheap and kind of dodgy but the food was surprisingly really nice and decent enough for me to enjoy (I have a very hard time eating at new joints, especially Asian places). After having our feed, we grabbed some Starbucks and since we had a good 1 hour to kill, we walked over to Harbourside shopping centre and just looked around then made our way to the cinemas. Bought some popcorn and drinks then made our way to our seats.

After the movie, we grabbed some ice cream since we could use our tickets as a 'buy one get one free' voucher. And then walked our way back to car where we headed for home. Though Manuel kept taking wrong turns and we ended up in some suburb that was beyond Kings Cross lol but I wanted to stay there and enjoy the water view and house siting, but had to get home asap because of the kids. We eventually made our way back onto the right road and then home.

The movie overall was so sad but so great! I love Harry Potter, I always have, since the beginning and I've never been disappointed with any movie. But I was so sad that it's all come to an end now. We don't have anything else to look forward to every year, one of my favourite things to look forward to every year. I will make it mandatory for us to have all movies, when they get released in Blueray 3D.

I loved today. Everything went to plan, time wise and nothing went wrong. We all enjoyed ourselves, having some adult time together without having to worry and/or stress about what the kids are doing. Manuel has proposed that our next outing will be the drive in, this time we can take the kids. But we've all agreed to have a break/outing like these more often.

Here are some photos from today; excuse the bad quality, I only had my iPhone.

TWENTY Part II

On Saturday day, before meeting up with the girls, I got a manicure and pedicure (Courtesy of Jeremy) and then picked Kaecee up and made our way to Jess' house. Then cruised our way to the city, stopping by a bottle shop on the way. Parked our car at Jess' friends place and walked our way to the hotel, we stayed at the Marriot Hotel along College street. On the way, we quite a few lamborghini's and a couple ferrari's.. Kaecee was in heaven! lol

Once checked in, put our stuff in our room and slightly unpacked our things, we made our way to CBD where we fetched some lunch which ended up being our dinner aswell lol. Then looked around for some accessories and took Kaecee to Zara. Then made our way back to the hotel.

After a little bit, our friend Jamie came by after work, followed by Stacee. We started drinking and just had catchups, convos and convinced Jamie to come to the club, since she was just going to go home lol. We started getting ready at around 7pm. Kaecee did my curls and my 'smokey eyeshadow' while I did the rest of the make up. Kept the drinks going and taking as much photos as could.

Then after a long wait and phone call to Sarah, Lorreine and Bron giving them directions around the city to our hotel, they finally arrived lol. They drank more and took more photos, with their present that they gave.. which I won't disclose here haha. Jess and Jamie left before the girls arrived because Jess had to be at the club early since she was working that night.

At around 10pm or so, we finally made our way to the club, which was around a 15 minute walk or so because we took our time & Bron kept slipping in her heels lol! For once, we had to line up for a while until one of the head promotors took us out of the line and made us walk to the front *phew. The club was surprisingly really packed which only meant more sleazy guys! They were everywhere! Kinda killed my buzz.. as always. But I still had a fun time regardless.

The day after, we luckily didn't have to wake up too early as we had a 12pm check out, though we were ready by 10:30am/11am and just chilled and talked to kill time. Then on the way, walking back to the car, we stopped for lunch at some Japanese joint. Didn't really like their food there, no offence. Then made our way back to the West, dropping Sarah off first, followed by me. Kaecee and Jess hung out afterwards I believe.

Spent the rest of my after with Jeremy, Jaiden was asleep when I arrived. Then when our mum arrived from work, we went for a little trip to get an external hard drive for my mac, so I could re-install iPhoto and upload my photos properly without having to resize them individually.

Thanks to all my girls for coming out! Just what I wanted to do to celebrate, spend the day and night with my favourite girls!  ♥ ♥ ♥
